Itinerary

Day 1Bagdogra / NJP / Siliguri to Gangtok – Arrival & Transfer

On arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, our driver will receive you and transfer you to Gangtok. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Himalayan foothills (approx. 4–5 hours). On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 2Gangtok – Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Optional Nathula Pass)

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to the beautiful Tsomgo Lake and Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. Enjoy the breathtaking mountain views before returning to Gangtok for an overnight stay. Visit to Nathula Pass is optional and available at an additional cost. (In case of landslides or road closures, alternate sightseeing will be arranged.)

Day 3Gangtok to Lachen – Waterfalls Sightseeing & Transfer

Start your North Sikkim journey at 10:00 am from Gangtok by private cab. En route, enjoy scenic hills, villages, and stops at Butterfly (Seven Sisters) Waterfall, Naga Waterfall, and Chungthang Dam. Arrive at Lachen, check-in, and relax in your hotel with comfortable facilities.

Distance: 110 km | Travel Time: 6–7 hours (Approx. 9 hrs including stops)

Note: Carry motion sickness tablets. Consult your doctor if you have health issues; infants are not recommended. Roads are gravelly but offer breathtaking views.

Day 4Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake Excursion & Stay

After an early breakfast, embark on a 55 km drive (2½–3½ hrs) to Gurudongmar Lake, a sacred high-altitude lake at 11,800 ft, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. On the return, pass through the cold desert and stop at your resort for lunch. Later, visit Lachung’s scenic spots including rhododendron forests, Chopta Valley, and Thangu. Return to Lachen for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5Lachen to Gangtok – Transfer

After breakfast, drive 150 km (approx. 5 hrs) back to Gangtok. Check into your hotel and relax for the night.

Day 6Gangtok to Pelling – Half Day Sightseeing & Transfer

After breakfast, enjoy a half-day city tour of Gangtok covering Ropeway, Research Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sundays & government holidays), Do-Drul Chorten, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom (closed on Sundays & government holidays), and the Flower Show. Post sightseeing, drive 140 km (3½–4 hrs) to Pelling, located at 2,072 meters (6,800 ft). Check into your hotel and spend the evening at leisure exploring the charming town. Overnight stay at Pelling.

Day 7Pelling – Full Day Sightseeing with Sky Walk

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of sightseeing around Pelling. Visit Khechepalri Lake, Kanchenjunga Waterfalls, Darap Village, Rimbi Waterfalls, Orange Garden, Pemayangtse Monastery, Bird Century, Helipad View Point, Rabdentse Ruins, and experience the Sky Walk. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 8Pelling to Darjeeling – Transfer & Half-Day Sightseeing

After breakfast, drive 140 km (3½–4 hrs) to Darjeeling via scenic roads. Check into your hotel and enjoy a half-day city tour including Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (closed on Sunday), and Peace Pagoda. Evening free for leisure or local strolls. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 9Darjeeling – Full Day Sightseeing (Thursday Zoo Closed)

Start early at 4:00 AM with a visit to Tiger Hill to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas (subject to token availability; if not possible, it will be covered later in the day). Return to the hotel for breakfast, then explore Bataisa Loop, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Gardens (outer view), and Japanese Temple (Peace Pagoda). Evening is free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 10Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport / NJP / Siliguri – Drop

After breakfast, transfer to Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Siliguri for onward journey. Distance: 105 km • Travel Time: 3½–4 hrs
