- From Gaurikund, you must either trek to Kedarnath or hire a Palki (palanquin), Kandi (basket carrier), or Pony.

Trek Distance & Route
The trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath is approximately 16 km. The original trek route was altered after the 2013 floods, extending it from 14 km to 16 km.
New Trek Route:
- Gaurikund to Jungle Chatti: 4 km via Rambara Bridge
- Jungle Chatti to Bheembali: 3 km
- Bheembali to Linchauli: 4 km
- Linchauli to Kedarnath Base Camp: 4 km
- Kedarnath Base Camp to Kedarnath Temple: 1 km
Trek Timings & Guidelines
- The trek operates from 4 AM to 1:30 PM. Pilgrims are not allowed to trek beyond this time due to safety concerns.
- Kedarnath is located within Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, and strict regulations are followed.
- Pilgrims with heart, respiratory, or blood pressure issues should consult a doctor before attempting the trek.
